WHAT IS IT?
Noatikl is a 16 track MIDI generating powerhouse with 120+ parameters. Many generative music templates are included and MIDI out support lets you drive external MIDI synths/samplers. It also features the integral Partikl Sound Engine 3 (PSE 3) which lets you design/use portable complex stereo synth networks - great for rich and evolving sounds in shareable pieces. The PSE supports SoundFonts (SF2) / DLS Wavetables and includes many modulatable sound units, FX units and quality SF2.

Very nice new version, thank you for the continued thoughts and support, this is the greatest generative playground for weird experimental developments (in my case). Very deep and inspiring for any usecase, though. Lets yourself expand, kind of... ...needs link, please. Otherwise perfect!

For many years, my main go to tool (in tandem with Mixtikl) for creating music.

Some bad moments

Update: I do not like the redesigned save/load file feature at all! It was a good, useful design. Now its a pain to use. Why the big Noatikl logo? We know what it is. The font is stupid small to read. You can not sort by name nor date created! It no longer keeps loaded what you were working on. EVERY TIME you start the app you have to find and reload what you were working on previously. In my opinion, a bad design change. So much so in my opinion, I drop my review from 5 stars to 2 stars! Worse yet, they only have lame forum support. I try to submit feedback and their anti-bot s/w doesnt work. The text it displays is not what it will accept. If I select read it, its totally different and is not accepted. I either generate a form error of that the security text is incorrect. Typical waste of time messing with forums! That changes my review to 1 STAR! A company that stumbled into a good, generative ambient music app that is slowly ruining it! I wish Id never loaded the last update! ------ Too funny. I was complimenting their ADSR envelope for also having the delay and hold feature (Im reading the User Guide like homework) and then I discover the Advanced button in the bottom right of that screen and that adds Post Attack, Post Attack Level and Post Hold controls! Im in wave shape heaven! With the Demo Calm Trails EMS crispy vib voice in solo mode and playing only with its Poly 4s first of two Wave modules envelope and its associated LFO, the variation in sound is crazy! Then creating a new Piece filled with copies of the voice mentioned above and phasing each voice slightly differently on an accumulating scale and...wild...audio vertigo! LOL ---- I just realized that for the last several hours Noatikl has been playing in the background and I totally forgot what was creating the music. Noatikl is the best generative ambient music app Ive seen for iOS so far! Better than and it is as melodic as Drone FX, whose developer seems to be lost in action the last year plus not even adding the ability to play in the background, which is a MUST for playing music let alone ambient generative music. And it is at least as configurable as Soundscaper but Noatikl is more melodic and has smoother sound and texture transitions. There is a huge amount of configurability with Noatikl. Itll keep me experimenting for a long time. I like that the envelope has DAHDSR (adding Delay and Hold). There is an extensive manual both on their web site as well as in a PDF to download. There are a number of tutorials, videos and music examples. Good job all around!
